- Contact. To clean up this area of play we are going to be more strict on the contact rule. This goes for both competitive and social grades.
- Intimidation. The defence must be attempting to block the ball, no waving their hands in the face, no swiping at the ball, no deliberate stomping as this is considered intimidation also.
- Replay. The definition of a replay is… two attempts at the ball only. There are no controlled tips allowed and it is umpires discretion for this call.
- Defensive/offensive contacts while shooting. A player can defend the ball only and must allow the shooter an opportunity to bring the ball up for a shot. If the defender hand is still and a shooter contacts the ball into their hand it is contact on the shooter. Likewise, when a player is sufficient distance away behind the shooter and has a hand out still, the shooter contacts the defenders hand then it is a contact on the shooter and a turn over.
- Players standing down from penalty. Players must stand down before the pass is taken otherwise its a turnover ball. If the player standing down is deliberately slow on standing down then pass can be taken or the team with the ball can be marched forward.
- Players defending shots who land within 3 feet of shooter. We are getting more strict and harsher on those players that jump to block the ball and land within three feet of the shooter. This rule is to prevent the shooter being unfairly inhibited from shooting so this call will be ruled more strictly.
- Foot ball. If a ball is deliberately kicked is the only time this is called
- Goal Tending. Any ball interfered with once its on its way down to the hoop from a shot is goal tending and the points are automatically awarded. Any opposition player interfering with the hoop or the net is also goal tending and the goal is awarded.
- 7aside only two point shots. Both feet have to land within the 2 point zone for two points to be awarded.
- Penalty stand down. When a player is told to stand down the player with the ball must have space to take their shot.
DODGEBALL:
- Only hits taken to the head at normal standing height are to result in a player who threw the ball to be given out
